Dr Andrew Sainsbury


Andrew SainsburyDr Sainsbury graduated from the University of Queensland in 1985, after which he worked for the Royal Australian Air Force. In his time with the airforce, he was posted to Amberley, Sydney and Canberra. He also represented his country at international level in the sport of hockey during this time. He left the Air Force in 1997 to take up full time private practice in Ipswich. In 1998 he completed his FRACDS studies and was admitted to the College of Australasian Dental Surgeons. During this time he also taught in the undergraduate clinic at the University of Queensland Dental School.

In 2003 Andrew returned to the University of Queensland to undertake specialist training in the field of endodontics, gaining his Master’s qualification in December 2005. Andrew's area of original research involved the use of lasers in detecting bacterial infection.

Upon graduating, Andrew joined Alex Moule’s practice, Endodontics Only, at their Toowoomba branch. Andrew is active in the Toowoomba ADA, and is involved in continuing education.

When not in endodontic practice, Andrew can be found playing tennis, fishing, camping or gardening with his family.
